Grief Coaching
Grief is sacred. Grief is holy. Grief is a portal through which we can find our truest and most authentic selves. Grief can be heavy and difficult to process on our own in a culture that often asks us to turn away from grief and focus on silver linings.

In my practice I do not claim to fix or disappear grief you are experiencing, but I can help you process, metabolize, and integrate it into your life.

All grief is sacred and as your coach I walk with you through the forests and fields of your grief at entry points of your choosing (ie you don't need to disclose any more than you are comfortable with during our sessions). Examples of personal grief I work with are:
-
death of a loved one or pet
-
romantic or platonic relationships ending
-
job loss
-
medical/disease diagnosis

If you are feeling the grief of the collective in times of genocide, empire, and climate crisis, I can work with you by helping you:
-
navigate collective grief with affirmation and validation
-
see your grief reflected back to you to affirm you are not alone
-
develop practices to metabolize your grief in a world that can often feel disappointing and devastating
-
have a witness to your own grief as you witness for others

Grief Coaching vs Therapy
As a coach, I am here to help you start where you are and move forward through your grief at whatever pace is comfortable to you. We will be forward facing, while holding space for and honoring the loss that has produced your grief. I will help you integrate grief into your life without the expectation that at some point you "move on" or "get over" your loss. Together we will work on "what's next" and move towards those goals.

As a grief coach I do NOT: diagnose or treat mental disorders; seek to heal mental disorders; determine objectives of our work based on diagnosis; provide counseling, psychotherapy, psychoanalysis or any other form of mental health care or therapy.
